I suppose the biggest thing is that I started university. Yep, I'm now in my third week of lectures and it's going really well. Of course there were a few teething problems at first, what with being so far from home and family as well as having to fend for myself. Fortunately and to my own surprise, I haven't yet poisoned myself and I've become acquainted with the oven as well as the microwave. So I'm settling quite well, not that I don't look forward to my fortnightly visits back home and dropping off my laundry!

University life for me has been incredibly busy so far, with an average day of 9-5 lectures and assignments in both the first and second week! But I'm really enjoying the course and I've had the opportunity to branch out a little when it comes to extra curriculum. I've joined a life drawing class, which may have been slightly terrifying first time, but was certainly worth while. It's nice to have an outlet for my creativity and the chance to meet some new people.
My first life drawing class was particularly interesting - not just because I really had no idea where I was going when I got on the train at 6 o'clock to get to the student union. I arrived a little late and not wanting to disturb the rest of the group I took the nearest seat. This just happened to be directly in front of he model and I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous about the fact that the model was a he.

I have done life drawing before, but only once and only with a female model. So the trepidation beforehand could not be helped. However, as soon as you sit down, you instantly realise that this is just art. There's no awkwardness, because everyone is here to draw and it doesn't matter who or what the subject may be. If anyone has ever thought about trying life drawing, but decide against it for whatever reason - I can promise you it is definitely worthwhile and nowhere near as weird as you may think!
Unfortunately i haven't joined any sports societies, which I'm lead to believe is an almost integral part of uni life, but to be honest I suck at pretty much all physical excursion, so I see that as no real loss to the various sports teams! I have, however, joined the zoological society, which has been somewhat dormant since I signed myself over along with twenty pounds...
...I really can't think of anything else to say, so I'm going to leave it there - realising that I haven't said anything of any importance anyway!
